Collaborate For A Cause!

I'm so thrilled to share the project 'Collaborate for a Cause'  that I have been working on over the last week. The aim of 'Collaborate for a Cause' is to promote friendship, understanding and fun throughout the Facebook community, while raising money for causes you are passionate about. Together with three other businesses that make handmade products, we have been working on items that tie in together with the products that we make. The end result is a collection of products that will be auctioned off and the money raised will be presented to a charity of our choice. Ours being "Sewing Mummy- sewing for premature and sick newborns". Such a dear cause that is close to my heart, having a premmy and very unwell baby myself only 10 months ago. Thank goodness 'our little angel' was such a little fighter and was cared for so well by those amazing staff that work around the clock at our hospitals in this country. Although it seemed like a lifetime at the time, it wasn't too long before she came home and was given a full bill of health around 6 months of age.

So basically we would like to spread the word of this amazing cause and hope you take a look at the amazing products that are up for auction. You are guaranteed some beautiful handmade products and many due to the nature of the cause are 'one offs', plus all money raised will be donated to charity. The auction starts Friday the 26th July and ends Sunday 31st July 8pm.

Here are our items that 'our team' has come up with: (Team includes "Little me things to love", "Miss Milly-Ella Hair Accessories", "Kristie Jayne" Stationary and "16feathers").

Introducing "Little Miss Jayne Feathers"....by Carla of Little me things to love

She is approx 42cm tall and comes with two outfits and a drawstring bag to keep outfits in whilst she is not wearing them. Her first outfit is a lovely floral skirt and matching head band. Her second outfit is a pretty red dress with pink sleeves and matching head band.
Both head bands are made by Simone from Miss Milly-Ella Hair Accessories. The doll is an original Little me things to love design.

Little Miss Jayne Feathers is looking for a little friend to love and cuddle her!!

This is Kristie's part-  from Kristie Jayne - a handmade card incorporated with a beautiful detachable hair clip made by Simone from Miss Milly-Ella Hair Accessories. The pink flower is intended to tie in with the material on the doll being made by Carla of Little me things to love.

And my part! On the left we have "Miss Jayne". A cluster of hand sewn rosettes encompassing all fabrics used on "Little Miss Jayne Feathers Dolly", overlaying a cream vintage doily on White. Size 2.

On the right we have "Little Milly" A beautiful handmade flower broach which includes a vintage doily made by Miss Milly-Ella Hair Accessories, complete with one doily sleeve and bottom lace on a dusty pink singlet. Size 2.
